Parish Christmas Collection Dec 8 and 9

Tens of thousands of men, women, and families are served annually by Catholic Charities. Please support their 2018 Annual Parish Christmas Collection next weekend. Catholic Charities shows the transformative love of Christ and serves men, women, and families annually across 100 direct and affiliated service locations in the 21 counties and 7 cities that make up the boundaries of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington. The Advent Giving Trees

The gift tags for the Advent Giving Trees will be out December 8 & 9. If you wish to participate, please take a tag and return the gift item (unwrapped, with the tag attached) on the weekend of December 15th and 16th.

There will be tags from Lake Anne Fellowship House, which provides affordable housing for seniors and the disabled, Artemis House, a 24-hour emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence, Catholic Charities’ Migration and Refugee Services, which sponsors refugee families settling in our diocese, HOPE in Northern Virginia and A Woman’s Choice in Herndon, which provides free pregnancy counseling and assistance before and after the baby’s birth. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of this very worthwhile St. Thomas à Becket Christmas tradition!

Our parish is providing Christmas Dinner for the women and children at the women’s shelter, Artemis House, again this year. If you would like to help by donating food or transporting food on Christmas Eve, or prepping, serving and/or clean up at the shelter on Christmas Day…

Theme: The Eucharist Renews Our Faith In Christ!

Let’s usher in the spirit of Christmas with Simbang Gabi. Tanghalang Pilipino ng from Washington DC will lead carol singing at 6:00pm. Mass is at 6:30pm officiated by Fr. Ramel Portula, Pastor at St. Anne’s in Arlington.

White House Christmas Ornaments to Support WorkCamp!

Support our 2019 Work Camp teen trip! This year’s ornament honors Harry S. Truman, the 33rd president of the United States. Ornaments sell for $20 and are available in the Parish Office M-F from 8:30am to 4:30pm or in the Religious Education Office, lower level, between the hours of 2:00pm – 7:00pm, Monday thru Wednesday. We are grateful for your support!

Reading Room after all Masses this
weekend. The collection will include a wide
variety of books, periodicals and pamphlets
