Coat Drive – drivers needed!

Parent Help Needed
We will need parent drivers at 6:30 pm on Tuesday January
15 to bring the coats to the Hunter Mill District Offices
(across from Reston Library), 8th graders will receive service
hours! Hope to see you here!

January 20 – 27, 2019
Every year, we join St. John Neumann and St. Mark
Catholic Churches and Congregation Beth Emeth in hosting
area homeless guests at St. John Neumann Church, 11900
Lawyers Road in Reston.
The online signup for volunteer positions, for adults 18 and
older, opened December 1st; positions are on a first-come,
first-claimed basis. You can find a link to the signup and
more details about volunteer opportunities on the St. John
Neumann parish website: www.saintjn.org


What do Pennies and Queen Esther have to do with Purim?


On Wednesday, January 16th from 7:00pm to 8:00pm there
will be a presentation next door at the Northern Virginia
Hebrew Congregation for parishioners of St. Thomas à
Becket & St. John Neumann. Come to explore the Jewish
faith and all it encompasses. Comparisons will be made
with Christian religions, in particular the Catholic faith. All
are welcome for a fascinating hour.

We are pleased to announce the grand
opening of the St. Thomas à Becket
Reading Room after all Masses this
weekend. The collection will include a wide
variety of books, periodicals and pamphlets
for adults on Catholic teachings and contemporary Catholic thought as well as issues of social concern. Please join us in the Reading Room for browsing.
