Why: Learn about the redevelopment of the Crescent Apartments, including:
* Goals for expanding housing affordability
* The approach to redevelopment, including how timelines, plans and designs come together
* Community engagement to gather input and hear ideas
* Strategies that minimize resident relocation during redevelopment
* Planning and design guidance to support the revitalization of Lake Anne
Located near the Lake Anne Village Center, Fairfax County purchased Crescent Apartments in 2006. At that time, Fairfax County and the Reston community indicated that any future redevelopment would have to preserve and expand affordable housing and contribute to the vitality of the historic Lake Anne community. Moving forward with redevelopment over the course of the coming years will help achieve both goals.
