Christ House
Parish volunteers prepare and serve a lasagna dinner to 70 guests at Christ House Emergency Shelter in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, on the fourth Monday of every month. Volunteers either prepare the meals in their homes and bring to the parish hall kitchen, or transport meals from the parish to Christ House and help serve the guests.

Haiti Mission
We organize the parish response to the needs of the Bercy School in Haiti, its students and the surrounding community. volunteers are needed to plan and conduct two or three campaigns a year to raise funds for instructional support, special projects or natural disaster relief.

The Closet Team
The Closet Of the Greater Herndon Area is a nonprofit thrift shop in the heart of historic downtown Herndon, Virginia. The Closet was founded in 1974 by a handful of churches to assist low-income families by selling used clothing at nominal prices. Volunteers are needed to organize merchandise and serve customers. Shifts are 2 or 4 hours long.

Hypothermia Shelters
Our parish provides volunteers for two Reston area hypothermia shelters. The shelter at St. John Neumann Church provides housing for up to 50 homeless persons for one week during the winter. Volunteers are needed to staff evening and overnight assignments and to provide two meals. The shelter at Cornerstones provides shelter for 25 persons from December 15 to March 15. Volunteers provide and serve a buffet dinner for two nights in February.
