The St. Thomas à Becket Parish Care For Our Common Home Ministry celebrated Earth Day by cleaning-up the Wiehle Ave. roadway from the Church to Tall Oaks and back. Wind and cold did nothing to stop our creation care action in honor of mother earth on this 50th anniversary of Earth Day. — We show our respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation. Care for the earth is not just an Earth Day slogan, it is a requirement of our faith. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation. This environmental challenge has fundamental moral and ethical dimensions that cannot be ignored. (USCCB). Many thanks to our stalwart team who gave of their time to tend to the gift that is God’s creation!
