For our May gathering we selected a book that ties in with the Care for Our Common Home Ministry’s Laudati Si focus: Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. The author is a professor of Environmental Biology and draws on her life as an indigenous scientist to write about the natural world in a way that is both scientific and sacred. The book was chosen as the Best Essay Collection of the Decade. You can read just a few essays or the whole book. The book is available at the public library, on Amazon, Kindle, new and used.
Join us at the Temporary Road Picnic Pavilion (intersection of North Shore drive and Temporary Road, just past the new traffic light) Thursday May 19 at 1:00.
