Every three years, the Catholic Bishops from around the world gather in Rome to discuss a matter of pastoral importance. Pope Francis chose the topic Synodality, or how the Church is journeying together, in order to pursue the ways God is calling us towards deeper communion, fuller participation, and greater openness to fulfilling our mission in the world.
To that end, the Pope is asking that every parish hold listening sessions to solicit ideas from parishioners concerning the above three goals the Church would like to fulfill. The comments from those attending the listening sessions will be collated and presented to the Pope by our Bishop. All are encouraged to attend one of the sessions held at St. Thomas a Becket in the coming two weeks. Please join us on March 29,2022 at 11:00 am, March 31 at 7:00 pm, April 5 at 7:00 pm, or April 7 at 11:00 am. We hope to see you at one of these sessions in the Parish Hall.
